With over 20 years of professional experience on-air, I am proud to now be featured on Voicetracker Hub and to be given the opportunity to share both my passion and my expertise with you.
• On-air experience of hosting local, networked and remote voice tracked shows
• Commended Remote Voice Tracker
• Mainstream and specialist show expert
• Experienced within many station sound formats
• Home studio for creating, recording and editing content
Radio has long been my passion. I started on MFM in North Wales (UK) at the end of the 1990s in a studio that used CD players and cart machines. I have advanced through the changes in broadcasting through analogue radio, to digital radio and now I have a home studio that connects me to radio stations around the world.
Having spent the last few years equipping my home studio with the latest kit, I can now bring a professional quality to the sound that I offer to your radio station, whatever the style or genre. With brands such as dbx & Universal Audio in my arsenal, there are a range of options I can provide to meet your requirements.
Technology is essential but you also need a broadcaster with wide-ranging experience to bring high quality content to your station output. This is something I bring in abundance.
My years on air have seen me work in a range of broadcasting formats: CHR, AC, Hot AC and more. In addition, I have produced and recorded specialist shows in Dance and Alt Rock formats which have been aired across many commercial radio stations in the UK. Alongside this, I have also developed my own brand of programmes (DNA shows) that have been broadcast on radio stations worldwide.
Away from music radio, I have worked in speech format programming dealing predominantly with football and rugby but also with other sports. I have worked closely with Huddersfield Town and Wigan Athletic; two big names within the world of English football in order to provide both teams with official club content in the form of video content and podcasts.
In recent years, I have enjoyed adding remote voice tracking to my professional repertoire. I have been recognised as a highly commended broadcaster in The Voice Tracker of the Year Awardwhere the judges commented that I was adept ‘at altering my tone to match the music I am playing’ and this was acknowledged as an asset as ‘most jocks don’t do this’ (2018).
Now, in the current climate, the ability to create great radio from your own home seems to be more crucial than ever. I have the skills, experience and resources to create voice track links, voice overs and even entire programmes to suit any radio station and can be effective immediately.
In 2020, I have provided programming, via remote voice tracking, from my home studio to Imagine Radio South Manchester (UK), Imagine Radio Derbyshire Dales & East Staffordshire (UK), Imagine Radio Peak District (UK), Tower FM (UK), Wire FM (UK), Wish FM (UK) and Fresh Radio (Spain). I create at least 4 hours of on-air content for each station per week as part of their regular schedule.
My work so far this year has allowed me to work with RCS’ Zetta2Goand PlayoutOne’s Web VT software. That goes alongside my previous use of P Squared’s Myriad, Dalet and previous RCS products. I therefore have the knowledge and understanding to work with a range of playout systems.
Within the audio embedded in this page, you will experience the sound I create using my home studio. From this, you will get a real flavour of the on-air experience I create.
I am now looking to offer further voice track services to enhance your on-air station sound.
If you are looking for a dedicated, committed and diligent broadcaster to join your line-up, get in touch to discuss ways in which I can support your radio station.
